Short Waves Festival
Description
The Short Waves Festival features the best short films made in Poland and internationally. They are made by both professionals and amateurs using an open formula which perfectly accommodates the wide range of short forms on offer: these are feature productions, documentaries, animations, video clips and experimental movies.
Thanks to a strict selection process, only films of the highest artistic quality pass the screening. The stationary part of the Poznań festival features the best international short films. The Short Waves Festival short-film awards are valued more highly than any others conferred in Poland. The most prominent of these is the Poznań Open, awarded by an international jury. In contrast, Grand Prix laureates are chosen in a vote by international audiences. The jurors of the Dances with Camera contest are dance and cinematography experts.
