Scena Robocza (The Working Stage)
Description
The WORKING STAGE Theatrical Residence Centre (Centrum Rezydencji Teatralnej SCENA ROBOCZA) is a unique project aimed primarily at providing theatre troupes and individual artists with regular access to theatre facilities. The WORKING STAGE is a hands-on artistic laboratory dedicated to the central principle of creative freedom. The artists are free to develop their own projects as they see fit.
Rather than imposing themes, formal solutions or working models, the STAGE comprehensively supports the creative process. As a result, a diverse but nevertheless formally and artistically coherent theatre is established for experienced and recognised professionals as well as groups still scrambling to discover their artistic identity. The theatre satisfies social needs and deficits by creating dedicated programmes that are broadly educational in nature. At the WORKING STAGE, various social and artistic models meet and interact with one another.
