Kazimiera Iłłakowiczówna's residence and workshop was set up in 1984. It is Poznań's only biographical and literary museum set in the actual flat of an artist. Having the exhibition placed in what used to be a rented room in an old Art Nouveau building helps capture the atmosphere of this site during the poet's life.
Iłłakowiczówna lived here from 1948 until her death in 1983. In addition to the actual interior of her home complete with furniture, books, paintings and everyday items, the museum displays literary and iconographic materials. Visitors get to feel the true spirit of the artist. All exhibits form an integral whole and testify to the unique atmosphere of this museum.
